Deposits are located in the north-eastern part of the Lessini Mountains in the province of Verona, near our San Pietro Mussolino site.
The geological structure of the Lessini is characterized by a rocky area interspersed with deep valleys which fan out towards the south and merge into the Veneto plain.

The stratigraphic succession of the Lessini Mountains includes mainly calcareous formations and in part of volcanic origin dating back between the Late Triassic and Miocene. A closer look at the area reveals the presence of carbonate rocks from the Jurassic period sometimes covered with eluvial and colluvial debris formed by the chemical and mechanic disaggregation of rock.
